Julia Christgau is a filmmaker, actor and podcast producer. Most recently, she starred in her first feature film,Whistle Down Wind, produced the podcast Rumble: Ali/Foreman and the Soul of ‘74, and voiced many characters in Owen Wilson’s Tom Slick: Mystery Hunter (2025 Ambie Nominee). Other career highlights include directing Nick Offerman and Patrick Warburton in Founding Son with Bob Crawford (Avett Brothers) and working with Eva Longoria and Dania Ramirez to create Sisters of the Underground, a scripted audio drama starring Dania Ramirez and Judy Reyes (Signal Award for Best Limited Series - History). Her podcast work can be found on all platforms.
Julia’s roots are in the theatre, where she has performed in a multitude of plays over the course of her life. Everything from Shakespeare’s Lady Macbeth to Annie Baker’s The Flick, to groundbreaking new plays at both professional regional playhouses and independent theatres throughout her hometown, NYC.
Her work in film has been recognized regionally and internationally and garnered awards and nominations for Best Comedy, Best Screenplay, Best Actress and Funniest Music Video, to name a few. She has also toured internationally as a musician.
